Get Set Go, on a spree in 2023!

The year 2022 was the typical 1Catch 221 year! It was an year of comeback with aspirations at times laced with apprehensions. A 1roller coaster1 ride if we may say...We were happy to help our clients to tide over the difficult situations with our timely advice. The year is coming to an end and the WealthTrust team is all set to greet 2023 and its challenges with more wisdom, warmth, accuracy, and courage. But before that, let1s reminisce and celebrate the big and small achievements of 2022.

This year was filled with major events, global and national, fortunate and unfortunate, namely the Russia–Ukraine Crisis; protests in Iran; PM re-elections in the UK due to flawed monetary policies; the Indian government launching PLI schemes to support textile, electronics, manufacturing, and defense sectors; Pakistan Floods, the Sri Lankan economy fall, Elon Musk1s acquisition of Twitter; and global inflation rise, Europe inflation protests; Britain1s monarch for 70 years, Queen Elizabeth1s death; FIFA World Cup.

We got to witness India becoming the fifth-largest economy; while MSCI All Country World Index was 20% down, BSE Sensex Index went 3 percent up, and rapid rate hikes by the RBI (overall 225 bps repo rate hike). India1s strong domestic fundamentals attracted Foreign Investors and its citizens to believe in Indian markets and their nation1s economy. Consequently, according to The Economic Times, 52% of the market transactions are retail investors, 48% being DIIs and FIIs.

With the rise in the number of domestic investors and a constant need for handholding investors in achieving true financial independence, WealthTrust Capital Services aims to be the human boutique wealth management firm with easy accessibility to advise clients on their overall personal finance requirements as we truly believe one size doesn1t fit all. Throughout the year, we conducted events online and offline to advocate financial literacy creating awareness of the nuances of personal finance, various asset classes, tax planning, and retirement planning have been the keynote of this series.

Lessons Learnt

Our long-term motto is to touch people1s lives and dreams closely, understanding the clients1 known and unknown financial needs is the real art we are trying to embrace. Potentially profitable investing requires consistency and value-oriented strategies keeping in mind each client1s varied goals and time horizons for investment. Keeping this as the foundation, we have delivered outcomes in clients1 portfolios.

Best and worst of the year

The greatest memories of 2022 have definitely been meeting different people virtually and personally. To participate in each of their investment journeys and their headstart to financial independence. This year we grew our team and onboarded valuable talent.

In 2022, we worked with more women investors, these women started managing their finances solely by themselves and there has been a visible positive shift from women majorly depending on their male family members.

One of the challenges we faced was the inconclusiveness while giving investing a start. Putting this on the back burner hampers the financial health as they pay the cost of delay.
